Sarah Stroud first heard about Faith 2 Faith when her church’s band led worship at one of their events. The event immediately had an impact on her.
“It was a really eye-opening experience, realizing that even though I’m young, I can still share the gospel,” she said.
Sarah immediately knew she wanted to get involved with the ministry. Faith 2 Faith hired her onto their Ministry Partnership Steward team, and Sarah worked in that role for over two years. The most impactful part of her experience with Faith 2 Faith is what it revealed about her motivations and relationship with God. Sarah realized that she had been working in ministry for the wrong reasons.
“I was really trying to earn God’s approval and earn God’s love through serving him, so it was through Faith 2 Faith and working there that I actually came to Christ,” she explained.
Sarah remembers how she believed that God existed, but that belief didn’t extend into a relationship with him. After spending years trying to earn her salvation, she attended a retreat with some other Faith 2 Faith staff. At the retreat, Sarah surrendered to God.
“I wanted to do ministry before, but it completely changed my heart, because all of a sudden, I really understood what God did for me on the cross,” she said.
Sarah believes Faith 2 Faith’s ministry is vital because of the impact it’s having on the entire New England area, especially when she hears stories of students who have come to know Christ and dedicated their lives to Jesus through the outreach events.
“The whole heart of preaching the gospel, especially to youth, is just so important,” she said. “I think Faith 2 Faith fulfills the Great Commission so well.”
Sarah’ emerged from f2fmi to work for the HowtoLife Movement and is now serving as an event coordinator for Gateway Church in Dallas, TX.
